Clonmel's railway/bus station has no toilet facilities for the hundreds of people using the service every week.
Members of Clonmel Borough Council hit out at the failure of the relevant bodies to provide toilet facilities for the public.
They said nearby businesses were fed up with people trying to use their toilet facilities and demanded that action be taken.
Cllr. Pat English said there were up to 150 students attending universities waiting for buses in Clonmel every Sunday night.
"It's disgraceful that there are no toilet facilities for this number of people and all of the others who are taking the bus and train from Clonmel," said Cllr. English.
Members were angered when told that Bus Eireann/Iarnrod Eireann were depending on somebody taking over the cafe/shop commercial venture at the station and toilets would be provided as part of that enterprise.
Cllr. Billy Shoer said it was disgraceful that a national service were 'washing their hands' of their responsibility and sitting back to wait for a commercial interest to provide what they should be providing as a basic.
