Fethard GAA Senior Club held their AGM on Friday, January 14, . It was well attended by forty-three members.

Club President, Fr. Tom Breen, spoke with passion and asked that both players and members commit more in all areas of the club in order to go forward into a brighter future. He asked that members take pride in our club, pull our socks up and put a bit of 'back-bone' into our contribution to what is part of our national heritage, and pride of our parish. Fr Breen, certainly left the meeting with healthy 'food for thought'.

Outgoing chairman, Jimmy O'Shea, stepped down from his post after many years of support and commitment to the club. We wish him well and we know he will always be on hand to help out and support the club in anyway he can. Jimmy received a well earned rapturous round of applause.

Gus Fitzgerald (PRO) also stepped down from his post after many years. Gus will continue to assist in any way he can and will still continue to promote the County Bord Draw as well as our Lotto Draw. Gus will be unavailable for the foreseeable future as he is due to undergo surgery this week. We take this opportunity to wish Gus a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing back in full swing in the near future.
