Road closure and diversions for National Ploughing Championships next week

Road closure and diversions on Friday.

Motorists are warned there will be diversions due to a road closure in the Clogheen area on Friday.

Tipperary County Council will be carrying out surface dressing works tomorrow, Friday, June 22, on the Regional Road (R-668-4) between Clogheen and Ballylooby from Curraghatoor Cross to Parsons Green Cross.

The road will be closed between the hours of 8am to 7pm.


Diversion Routes 
(a) Traffic from Cahir to Clogheen:
HCVs: All heavy commercial vehicles will be diverted through Ardfinnan Village via the Cahir/Ardfinnan Regional Road (R-670).

Cars: Traffic will be diverted left at Kilcommon Cross on the Cahir/Clogheen Regional Road (R-668) for Clogheen via Tubrid & Castlegrace to the Ardfinnan/Clogheen Regional Road (R-665).

(b) Traffic from Clogheen to Cahir:
HCVs: All heavy commercial vehicles will be diverted through Ardfinnan Village via the Clogheen/Ardfinnan Regional Road (R-655).

Cars: Traffic will be diverted left at Castlegrace Cross (L-3409-1) via Tubrid to Kilcommon Cross on the Cahir/Clogheen Regional Road
(R-668).
