Dr Paddy Brown laid to rest in Clogheen

The death occurred recently in Dublin of Doctor Paddy Browne, who was born in Clogheen, Co Tipperary, on April 21, 1926, the second son of John and Annie Brown nee Hickey.

He was educated in Clogheen NS, and later at college in Castleknock and then to UCD where he studied medicine. He was married to Bobbie O'Reilly from Dublin, who predeceased him.

Dr Paddy was attached to St Annes Hospital in Northbrook Road, Ranelagh, Dublin 4 which specialised in the treatment of skin cancer. Paddy is mourned by his three daughters Jean, Marlyn and Valerie and their spouses, his sisters Kitty Place and Mary Nolan, sister in law Lucy, brother-in-law Fr. Paddy, sons-in-law Bill and George, grandchildren Suzanne, Robert, Eric, Albert and Harriet, relatives and friends.

His requiem mass took place in St Theresa's church Mount Merrion, and came back to Shanrahan Cemetery Clogheen, where he was interned with his parents, grandfather and uncle Philly. May he rest in peace.
