Nicola Ahearn was always in good humour

A profound sadness descended on our locality on Friday, March 16, last when we learned of the unexpected death of Nicola Ahearne, Liam Lynch Terrace, Newcastle.

Only in her thirties she was daughter to Trish and Jim and sister to Jason, Pamela, Linda and Katie. Who no doubt will always be in their thoughts. For the past number of years she was employed in St Luke's Hospital Clonmel where she was highly respected by staff and management alike.

Nicola was always in good humour who brought laughter to many with her jovial disposition. Nicola you will be missed in the area by all who know you.

Reposing at her home her remains were removed to Newcastle church on Monday 19th where they were received and blessed by Fr Bobby Power Ardfinnan Fr Desmond Newcastle and Fr O'Connor Modeligo. Celebrated mass then followed with readings and taking up of the gifts undertaken by family members. Following mass burial took place in Mullough Cemetery where Nicola was laid to rest beside her adored nephew ten year old Stephan O'Connor who died three years ago.

To her parents brother sisters grandmother nephews nieces aunts uncles and all relations.
