Winners of the quarterfinals of, The Coleman Cup were Michael Kelleher, Kevin Tedford, Coimin Kelleher and Tim Carey.
In the first semi-final, Tim got the better of Michael. The second semi resulted in closely fought battle resulting in a win for Coimin.
In the much-anticipated final, new kid on the block Coimin Kelleher justified his final appearance with a sublime performance, producing some excellent snooker in the first frame. However defending champion Tim Carey was not going to relinquish his title easily and called on all his knowledge and experience, to make a total clearance break to result in the frame finishing in a draw, forcing a re-spotted black. Tim took the final black to win the first frame. It was then advantage Tim who kept a cool head to string together some great breaks, to retain The Coleman Cup.
Many thanks to the organising committee and of course to our referee John Brogan and to our sponsor Ray Coleman. The draw for our next tournament, The Buckley Cup, has been completed. For further details watch this space.
