Kilsheelan Kilcash comprehensively claimed the spoils on Saturday evening last over Moycarkey Borris in Group 3 of the County SFC held at New Inn on Saturday evening.
The South side, playing with the breeze looked to tag on as many scores as they could before the interval and just before the break they pierced the Moycarkey defence with a goal from centre back Thomas Ryan. They led 1-7 to 0-2 at half-time.
Seven minutes after the break Kilsheelan were awarded a penalty which Michael McHugh clinically converted to wrap things up.
This victory will no doubt enhance their confidence as they displayed great tenacity retrieving possession along with superb link up play and no shortage of scoring ability.
The Moycarkey set up will concede they were beaten by a better side but in missing key personnel they will no doubt be disappointed that they could not put up a better argument than they might have with a full complement.
