Golden-Kilfeacle created something of a mild surprise when they defeated Rosegreen by 1-13 to 1-8 in the West junior B hurling championship semi-final at Dundrum..
The game was in the melting pot all though and only a late goal from Thomas Byrnes finally put the game to bed.
Golden were out of the blocks strongly and at the break they held a two point lead on a scoreline of 0-8 to 1-3.
The key moment arrived with five minutes left when Thomas Byrnes broke through and buried the ball to give Golden a four point lead.
