Tipperary's Roz Purcell to open GreenHeart Café in Dove Hill Irish Design Centre
Roz Purcell, food blogger and author of Natural Born Feeder, is set to cut the tape at the official opening of GreenHeart Café in Dove Hill Irish Design Centre, Carrick-on-Suir, tonight,  Friday 18th November, at 7pm.

GreenHeart Café, which opened its doors earlier this year, is proving a big hit with customers wanting to eat healthy. “Eating healthy has never been more important – or more difficult,” says Tipperary businesswoman Frances Fogarty.

“We hear constant reminders of our spiralling obesity levels, our rising cancer levels and yet it’s becoming increasingly difficult to eat healthy in Ireland. Unless we have superhuman determination and discipline – and an abundance of time – we succumb to the high-sugar, high-fat diet that is so, so unhealthy,” she continues.

GreenHeart Café offers a wide range of raw salads, proteins, juices, sugar-free desserts along with decaf, matcha teas and coffees. All their food is served in compostable containers with compostable cutlery as part of their green concept.

The official opening is shaping up to be a great evening and will feature food and refreshments from GreenHeart Café; food chats by Roz Purcell and Frances Fogarty; in-store discounts at Meadows & Byrne and Blarney Woollen Mills; and prizes for Best Dressed Lady and Best Dressed Man.

Proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Waterford-based SOLAS Centre that provides cancer support services in the South East and to Cystic Fibrosis Ireland. Tickets can be purchased in advance at GreenHeart Café or at the door for €10 per person.
