BACK TO SCHOOL
It was a return to a greatly revamped national school when the pupils of Burncourt National School entered the school gate on last Thursday, September 1. The general consensus is that the school and the grounds are worthy of much admiration and of a job well done. Though some finishing off has to be done internally, great credit is due to all concerned. We send every good wish to the new Junior Infants and hope that their school days will be as often quoted “some of the happiest days of your life.” Welcome to Katie Butler, Megan Carroll, Erin Casey, Micheal Egan, Meadhbh Maher, Claudine McGrath, Darragh Walsh and Ella Young. A big welcome also to four more pupils who have come to Burncourt School Amy Casey-Kelly, Jessie Kiley, Roseanna Kiley and Jake Kiley. Wishing all the pupils and staff every good wish for the year ahead.
It’s a long way from Bermuda to Burncourt but that was the journey chosen by James Caplice and Tara Mickelson who were married in Burncourt Church last weekend. We wish James and Tara a lifetime of health and happiness in their married life together. Every good wish for the future.
Congratulations to Shane Fox on his 21st birthday last weekend. Every good wish to Shane for a future filled with health, happiness and success.
