On Wednesday evening last, our minor footballers defeated Cahir in the semi-final of the County Tipperary minor football league by 3-10 to 2-12. The team was: John Crowley, Jonathan Hickey, Eamon Needham, Aodhan Maher, Paul Walsh, Nicky Kearney, Jamie Moloney, Thomas Dineen, Michael Meagher, Mark Slattery, Robert Meagher, Mark Mullally, Brendan Gleeson, William O’Brien, Cathal O’Donovan, Kieran O’Brien, Cian O’Shea, Jamesie Carroll, Wayne McGrath, Raymie Lyons, Ciaran Mockler. They will play Killenaule in the County League Final.

St. Patricks’ Under 21 hurlers commence their 2011 campaign on Sunday week May 15, when the opposition will be provided by Carrick Swans.

On Monday evening of last week, our Under 14 footballers continued their winning run with a victory over Fethard in Anner Park, Cloneen by 2-11 to 4-3. The team was: Dylan Burgess, Brian Anglim, Enda Keane, Barry O’Dwyer, Gavin Keane, Conor Clancy, Jamie Broderick, Cathal Mahony, Joey Noonan, Nial Keane, Aidan Buckley, Thomas Hayes, Michael Boland, Cameron Moynihan, Shane Hannigan, Patrick Carroll, Eddie Hayes, Brendan Kearney, Nial Mockler, Eoin Ryan, Conor Duggan.

On Monday next May 9, our under 14 footballers play Cahir at 7pm in Cahir and on Monday week May 16, we have a home game against Ardfinnan at 7pm in Anner Park.

On Saturday last in Ballincollig, Co. Cork, Mark Mullaly helped South Tipperary Under 16 hurlers to qualify for the Munster semi-final. Unfortunately, Dyhallow of Cork were victorious after extra time in the semi-final and North Kerry then defeated South Tipperary in the Shield Final. Well done to Mark on keeping the St. Patrick’s banner flying high for South Tipperary.

On Friday evening last, our Under 12 footballers were defeated by Mullinahone by 3-11 to 3-2. The team was: Jamie Broderick, Michael Boland, Sean Ryan, Niamh Keane, Conor Duggan, Eoin Ryan, Barry O’Dwyer, Dale Murphy, Brendan Kearney, James Fitzgerald, Frank Meagher, Aidan O’Dwyer, Adam Cuddihy, James Horan, Ben Hennessy, Nial Mockler, Pauric O’Brien.

On this Friday evening, our Under 12 footballers play Clonmel Og in Anner Park, Cloneen at 6pm. Our final game in the group stages of the Under 12 football will be against Clerihan on Friday May 13, in Anner Park, Cloneen at 6pm.

On Saturday last, our under 8 footballers travelled to Carrick on Suir, where they defeated Kilsheelan-Kilcash and Carrick Swans but lost to Grangemockler. Players in action were: Alfie Vinoli, Luke Fox, Robert Cuddihy, Brian O’Halloran, Aidan Moran, Evan White, Cian Crannitch, Ryan Crannitch, Aidan Fitzgerald, Jack Cleere, Cathal Foley, Tom Hayden and Jamie Brett.

On this Saturday, our Under 10 footballers travel to Carrick on Suir for an 11 o’clock start in their blitz.

Tickets for the County Tipperary GAA Draw are now on sale for the new series of draws. which will commence on Friday May 20.
