Burncourt Celtic as a result of its Clothes Recycling Collection raised €E500. The Christmas Auction and raffle yielded €E6,944 and the Card Game at Jackson’s of Skeheenarinky brought in €E1,505, giving a total of €E8,949. Burncourt Hospice Committee would like to thank everyone who contributed, sponsored and supported the different events. A lot of hard work was put in behind the scenes. The Committee would like to commend each venue for helping to run the events so efficiently. They would also like to thank most sincerely Tom O’Brien who did a tremendous job in running the auction. Well done to all concerned.

With all the babies and toddlers in the community a lot of interest has been expressed in the setting up of a Parent and Toddler Group. This is an ideal opportunity for parents and young children to come together once a week. All who are interested are asked to come along to the Community Hall this Thursday, February 9, at 11am with a view to setting up a group. Enquiries to Mag Keating 086/3241169, John 087/6602010, Breeda 087/6967661

It is hoped to notify all who have enquired about a defibrillator and first aid course of a starting date and time within the next few days.
