Boherlahan Dualla

Dualla NS wishes to thank all who helped make the official opening of the new school such a memorable day. Poor weather conditions did not deter guests, many of whom travelled significant distances. Anybody who has photographs, please e-mail them to The plan is to produce a book on the history of the school in the coming months and to include photographs of the day. The school would also like to know how many DVDs to order. If you wish to purchase one at E10, please text the school mobile 087-1701858. The second batch will cost E20 each.

The primary schools of the parish close this coming week for the Summer. We wish success and a bright future to all the students advancing to secondary education in September. It is important at this time to reiterate that the parish school building and playgrounds are private property. It is vital that no entry by anyone to the schools during the holiday period occurs.

Congratulations to the U11 and U13 girls of Scoil San Isadoir, both winning their county finals in Semple Stadium and The Ragg. The future looks bright for Boherlahan Camogie Club. The songs from Bothar Fado were recorded in the church some weeks ago. The CD is now available in the school or throughout the summer in Eddie’s Shop. It costs E5 and it is nice to know that the old songs will be carried on to the next generation, including Up the Boys of Boherlahan, God Bless You Boherlahan and Tubberadora.

Please keep August 5 in mind if you plan on going to Knock this summer. The 5th August is a day specially allocated to pilgrims for this archdiocese.
