The Swan Club will host a presentation on GAA club activities and sports dropout rates at its juvenile centre at 8pm tonight (Wednesday).
All players, mentors, supporters and all interested in the wellbeing of the Swan Club are encouraged to attend.
The annual general meeting of Carrick Swan GAA Club will take place on Friday, November 23.
Nomination papers for election of officers and motions for proposal at the agm are now available online on the Club’s website or from any committee member.
The juvenile disco last Friday night was very well attended and all the boys and girls had an enjoyable night. The Club looks forward to seeing all in attendance at the Christmas disco next month.
The Club hosted an U-8 camogie blitz on The Green on Saturday morning. Thanks to those who catered in the juvenile centre after the games and those who prepared the field.
Meanwhile, the U-12 hurlers were in action in the Carrigeen Astroturf Tournament over the weekend.
Numbers drawn in last week’s juvenile lotto draw were 3, 7, 11 and 21. Two players matched all four numbers to share the jackpot prize of €6,250. They were Michelle Fitzgerald, Ormonde Crescent and Margaret O’Neill, Dunbane. Twenty five players matched three numbers to win €20 each.
Carrick Swan Club thanks all those who continue to play the lotto and remind those who might like to join that weekly entry costs €2 and this can be paid to any committee member or any lotto promoter, who will call to collect the fee each week. This week’s jackpot prize is €2,000.
The Club extends get well soon wishes to probably its most loyal supporter Tommy O’Neill, who is hospitalised in Cork after undergoing surgery last week.
Tommy never fails to miss a match and is ever present in Davin Park and on The Green for all training sessions. The Club hopes to see him out and about again soon.
