Well done to William Maher, manager of the Tipp. Minor hurling team, who guided his young charges to a great victory in the Munster Final in Cork on Sunday last. Let’s hope he can guide them to further success and All-Ireland glory on the first Sunday in September. That would be a remarkable achievement because William captained the Tipp Minors of 1996 to the ultimate success following a replay against Galway all of 16 years ago. Well done to all the team members and backroom staff.
