Ardfinnan Tidy Towns would like to once again thank everyone for their hard work over the last few weeks. A big thank you for those who spent two days out in the heat painting the creamery and local ball alley. We are very grateful for all the kind words and comments being received about how well the village and surrounding areas are looking. We must also mention the work being carried out in all the estates St Finnans new flower beds are looking great and we see Castleview residents out a few nights a week weeding and are told that their hanging baskets will be going up shortly. Tidy towns cannot express their thanks enough to each and every one of you that is making a big effort around the community and would just like to ask that we all respect the flower beds and baskets as they do cost a lot to make and maintain. Also next time you’re out for a walk why not take time to have a look at the work carried in pleasant-way and the ball alley it is a lovely spot to bring the kids for a walk and let them play ball while you sit and admire our lovely community.

Ardfinnan tidy towns Facebook page will be up and running shortly and pictures of the work being carried out will be posted and updated so keep an eye out on Facebook.

Our under 14s qualified for the South Semi Final which was played on Monday last in Marlfield against Grangemockler. Check out our Facebook page for the result of this game.

Our under 10s were out in the County Semi Final in the Community Games on Friday night last. We were away to Ballingarry and it proved to be a very good game. However, we were beaten on the night on a score line of 1-03 to 0-02.

The under 6 Player of the week is Brian O’Donnell. Well done Brian, keep up the good work.

Congratulations and well done to Rachel Doyle who was part of the Primary game team who played in Semple Stadium at half time of the Munster Senior Football Clash between Tipperary and Kerry on Sunday last.
