Kilsheelan Kilcash

Wednesday night walks continue - if you would like to join us, do come along at 7pm to the Hall with your torch and high viz and you are guaranteed a pleasant walk. We are also in action on Sunday mornings with the agenda decided on the previous Wednesday.

Results from the Tommy Cahill Memorial Dart Tournament held last Sunday will be published next week.

The Senior Footballers will play Eire Og-Annacarthy at home this Sunday morning at 11am in their third outing in the County Adult League.

In the Senior Football championship we are drawn in a group with Loughmore, J K Brackens, Moycarkey and Mullinahone. In Intermediate Hurling we are grouped with Ballyneale, Sean Treacy’s, Arravale Rovers and Thurles Sarsfields. Our first game in U21 Hurling will be against Davins-Grangemockler, in Minor Hurling against Carrick Swan and in Minor Football we will take on Moyle Rovers. Minor Football training will begin next Saturday.

The U12 Footballers begin their campaign next Sunday (10th) at 12noon when they are away to Clonmel Og. Many of our young players were playing with the High School last week. In the U17 hurler’s victory over Borresleigh Martin Gibbs, Kevin Kehoe, Paul Maher and Brendan Martin played their part. Though beaten by Templemore in the U15 hurling in the White Cup, Kilsheelan players in action here were Daire Brennan, Aaron Fogarty, Brian Guiry, Mark Kehoe, Luke Kiely and Mark Stokes.

Thanks to all who have returned your Score Prediction Cards and if you still have one outstanding please return it to your promoter or Jim Murphy. Once it’s up and running regular updates will be available on the website.

The Victory Social was a wonderful night as the large crowd in attendance enjoyed the celebrations. Medals were presented to all the players involved in the Junior Hurling success and a special presentation was made to Bill Maher on his outstanding year as captain of the Tipperary Minor Hurling team.

We meet every Thursday night from 7.30pm to 9pm in the Community Centre in Kilsheelan and are always looking for new members to join as well as Leaders to help us out. We enjoy the following activities: table tennis, Wii and X-box games, listening to music and relaxing on our new state of the art bean bags! We also have access to the Astroturf pitch. In the past two years we have had many enjoyable nights and have a steady number of members every week. We have gone bowling in Clonmel and surfing in Tramore which is always a great success. Why not call down to see us or look up our facebook page “Kilsheelan Foroige Club”.
