Muintir Na Tire has been providing services to older and vulnerable householders in South Tipperary through a social enterprise known as the Tipperary Community Safety project since 2009. This project provides small scale repairs for older and vulnerable people in their homes ie, general maintenance work, painting and decorating. This project also provides Cavity Wall and Attic Insulation free under the Warmer Homes (LIH) Low Income Housing Programme to qualifying householders.

As with all community run projects it is necessary to fundraise to provide the services. It would be appreciated if you could support this valuable work by donating your unwanted clothing and other house hold textiles. Clear plastic bags and information leaflets are available free in local shops for your unwanted clothing

Collection van will be available outside Ardfinnan Community Centre from 9am to 1pm on Wednesday, April 4, to collect your donation. The following textiles are suitable: towels, sheets, blankets, clothing, shoes and curtains.
