Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind is asking communities all over Ireland to participate in their local family dog walk, this July. Supported by Olympian Sonia O’Sullivan, the organisation hopes to raise €E50,000 nationally for those who are visually impaired and families of children with autism.

In South Tipperary a walk will take place in the picturesque village of Ballylooby on Sunday, July 22, at 3pm.

Money will be raised through sponsorship, a recommended €E5 entrance fee on the day and items for sale, including Drontal high visibility bands. The bands have been approved by the Road Safety Authority and can be used again and again. The campaign is being supported by Bayer, Maxi Zoo and Rotary Ireland.
