Kilsheelan Kilcash

Kilsheelan-Kilcash Active Retirement group is now up and running. To date we have had three meetings which proved very positive and enjoyable. Our sessions are made up of a number of activities including bingo, song and dance, Tai Chi, cups of tea and lots of laughter. We take this opportunity to thank all our musicians and singers who gave of their time to make these sessions more enjoyable also to all the committee who set up the group. We are planning a day out before the end of the season and new members are always welcome. Next meeting on Wednesday, April 6.

It’s that time of year again and we invite you all to a coffee evening at Nagle’s Lounge on Thursday, April 7, from 6.30pm to 8pm. We especially ask for your full support this year. There will also be a raffle for the usual great prizes. So come along and enjoy an hour with neighbours and friends while supporting a very good cause.

All volunteers associated with KPLAN would like to extend a very warm thank you to the number of families within the locality who have recently donated board games, table games etc. to the Community Centre. These donations are a wonderful contribution and hopefully will provide many hours of enjoyment as we progress forward.

Sincere thank you to Mr and Mrs Matty Anglim, Clonmel, who have set up and marked out an area for the playing of the long standing game, skittles. This is a skilful game which can be played by the young and the not so young and is also a game accepted as a Community Games Sport which opens up the possibility of the local youth now participating in the community games in another sport. We look forward to the development of this sporting activity within our community.

On Sunday next at midday we travel to Cloneen where our opponents will be Mullinahone in the Minor Football championship. Please come along to support the teams
