As the Summer turns to Autumn everyone can see the progress the great boys and girls who attend hurling training on Tuesday evenings are making. Those who are practising every day are really, really improving. Maybe they will even play for Tipperary some day! We don’t have a full list of players of the week as the trophies haven’t been brought down always due to holidays etc. Anyway, well done to Charlie Landy, Jonathan Smith and to Kevin Burke who were given the awards in their groups lately. If your name hasn’t appeared in the paper and you won the award any week then please remind us at training!

Our Under 12 team had a great win in the South Semi final last Saturday evening in Cahir defeating Skeheenarinky by 2 points, the final score was 4-1 to 3-2! Well done!

Congratulations to the Tipperary senior hurling team on their victory over Dublin in the All Ireland Semi Finals on Sunday in Croke Park and especially to our own clubman and goalie Brendan Cummins who played his 66th Championship game for Tipperary, making him the new record holder of the most championship appearances for his county, a record which was previously held by Christy Ring of Cork! Well done Brendan! Everyone is now looking forward to the All Ireland Final on September 4!
