Lattin Cullen



In an unusual occurrence, two members of the Dunne family, who lived together at Glenbane, Lattin died of natural causes on the same day last week. Mary Condon, nee Dunne, formerly of Ballymarsough, widow of the late Tom Condon, in her 93rd year, died on Thursday morning in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Clonmel, while later that night, her younger brother, Edmond (Neddy) died in St. John’s Hospital, Limerick. There was a large attendance at both removals and Requiem Masses in the Church of the Assumption, Lattin and the burials of Mary in St. Michael’s cemetery, Tipperary and Neddy in the Old cemetery, Lattin. Sympathy is extended to the family’s many relatives, neighbours and friends.

Cullen-Lattin Junior A team secured promotion from the second division following last Sunday’s 3 – 0 victory over Kilsheelan in Aisling Park, Cullen. The goals were scored by John Russell (2) and Davy Ryan. If the team can now win their three remaining matches, all of which are at home, they will be promoted as champions. Next Sunday they face a tough challenge in main rivals Killenaule Rovers. On bank holiday Monday the U.13s will travel to Charleville for a league game at 11 am.


Training continues for U12 and U14 girls every Friday evening at 6.15pm in the all weather pitch in Lattin. Junior Training continues every Saturday at 6.45pm. New members are welcome.

Tipperary played the first Round of the Munster U14 Championship against Limerick last Saturday March 3rd in Lattin Cullen G.A.A pitch. The pitch was in great condition for the Match. Congratulations to Katie O’Donoghue and Lara O’Dwyer who both played on the day representing their club. Final score Tipperary 3-7 to Limerick 2-1. Also a huge thank you to all who catered after the match.

Clubs. All Clubs are selling St. Patricks Day Badges at the moment, your support would be greatly appreciated. The Under 12’s and 14’s played Oola in a Challenge in Lattin last Saturday March 10. Outcome was 12’s won their match and 14’s drew theirs, thanks to Oola for the Challenge

Lattin-Cullen GAA Club offer their sympathies to the family of Pat Ryan Bob, Newtown, Pallasgreen.


The art and model making county final was held in the presentation secondary school in Clonmel on Saturday. All of the Lattin Cullen children did really well and produced wonderful pictures and models. The hard work to prepare for the final over recent weeks paid off and the following children were successful in winning medals.
