KNOCKGRAFFON COURSING CLUB - GOLF CLASSIC 2012
Following our very successful golf classic last year, Knockgraffon Coursing Club are once again holding a Golf Classic at Cahir Park Golf Club on Friday, August 10. This year there will be trophies for the first three teams home. There will also be a prize for the leading women’s team. Prizes will also be awarded for the longest drive and nearest the pin. Once again we invite you to enter a team of four, €200 per team. This includes a meal served in the clubhouse. We would also welcome your support in sponsoring a tee box for €25. Results of the Rockwell Rovers Confined members draw (3rd month) which took place last Thursday, July 26, in the clubhouse. Winners: 1st prize of €1000 to Dinny and Elaine Browne, Ardnassa, Knockgraffon,2nd prize of €400 to Donal Moloney, Donegal, 3rd prize of €200 to Joe Pollard, Garrandea, New Inn, 4th prize of €100 to Fr. Bernard Frawley, Rockwell College, 5th prize of €100 to Robert Stakelum, Thurles. Well done to all and the next draw will take place on Thursday, August 30, at 9pm.

U16 B had a busy week beating Eire Og in Annacarty last Monday, July 23. Final score 4-10 to 2-9 (see web site for more details) and lost to Kichams in Dundrum last Thursday, July 26. Best of luck to the players in their next match against Cappawhite.
U12 E lost to Arravale Rovers last Thursday in Sean Treacy Park. Best of luck to the team in their match against Eire Og next Thursday.
U12 C lost to Emly last Friday, July 27, in New Inn. Unfortunately that was the last match in the league. Hard luck to all players who gave it all. Team: Kevin Cleary, Mark Ryan, Kevin Ryan, Diarmuid English, Adam Gallagher, Fergus English, Grainne Moloney, Patrick Hickey, Ciara Parker, Christopher Lonergan, John Marnane, Jake Fitzgerald, Conor O’Neill and Finbarr English. Thank you to the management team of Brendan Ryan and Sandra English and coach Colm Heaney. The team are on a well earned break now till September (players will be notified).
MINORS have also had a busy week playing three matches, winning two quite comfortable against Arravale Rovers and Galtee Rovers and losing narrowly to Golden/Kilfeacle (see web sites and sport section for match reports).
ANNUAL ROSEGREEN FIELD DAY
The field day will be held this Sunday, August 5, at 1.30pm. Come along and enjoy a great day out for all the family. Take a bus tour of the world famous Ballydoyle stable. Bring your dog to the dog show. Try your luck on the Wheel of Fortune. Get your plants and books. Great bargains at the Monster Auction at 4pm. At 9.30pm come along to the Queen of the Green dance in the Community Hall.
