The Labour Party and Fianna Fail have selected local election candidates for the Tipperary/Cashel area.
Retired council worker, Mick Byrnes was selected by the Labour Party. Mick, who narrowly missed out on a seat at the last local election, said he was confident he could go one better this time.
“I want to build on my experience as someone who spent many years working in the local authority, as a community activist and as someone who has always worked to try and improve my local community,” said Mick.
Fianna Fáil has selected Joe O’Connell and Roger Kennedy to contest this year’s local elections in the Cashel - Tipperary local electoral area.
The candidates were chosen by Fianna Fáil members at a convention held in the Brú Ború which was chaired by Timmy Dooley TD.
