Powerstown and Lisronagh



Congratulations to Jonathan and Theresa Brannigan, Moyle Brook, whose child Jack Charles was baptised in Lisronagh church on Saturday last. Congratulations also to Tadhg and Sarah Toomey, Glenaleamy, whose child Anna Mai was baptised in Powerstown church on Saturday last.


We extend our sympathy to the family of Biddy Sheehan, Tannersrath, especially to her husband Jimmy, sons, Michael, Tom, and John, daughters, Geraldine and Marie, grandchildren, great grandchild, relatives and friends.

We extend our sympathy also to the relatives and friends of Terence McCarthy, Late of Orchardstown and Marian court.


Trocaire boxes for Lent will be given out during the coming week by the envelope distributors. Poverty is one of the greatest problems faced by human beings around the world.

Through our contribution to Trocaire we can play our little part to alleviate the problem.


World day of prayer for women will take place on Friday night in the church of the Resurrection at 8pm.

All are welcome.
