Galbally Community Council wishes to thank everyone that helped to make the golden jubilee celebration’s for Canon Denis Talbot such a wonderful success. Our sincere best wishes to Canon Denis for health and happiness in the years ahead. An enjoyable evening was had by all who attended.


Galbally GAA, in association with TLC 4 Cystic Fibrosis, will be holding a bucket collection in Cork on July 7, if you feel you can assist in this collection all help will be gratefully appreciated. Thanks to everyone who came on Sunday to the family day and the barbecue, hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Again we’d like to apologise for having to cancel on Saturday night. It was a tough decision to call but for the health and safety of the attendees, it was necessary. The club will patrons posted with updates on the rescheduled date.


This year we are going to try and recycle uniforms and tracksuits. Times are hard for everyone so we the parents association said we would give this a go. Don’t know if it will take off but it’s worth a try. Any uniforms, shirts, trousers, skirts, jumpers tracksuit tops or bottoms that are in good condition would be appreciated. If you or anyone you know have any of these items they can be handed in the afterschool facility up until July 5.


Galbally Soccer Club will hold its annual summer camp at Henebry Park from August 7 to 10, from 10am to 2pm, for boys/girls from 6 to 14 years, €30per child, early booking advised, contact Grainne McCarthy at 086 8985152.

Galbally soccer club would like to thank all those who attended and helped out in their recent successful Family Fun Day. A most enjoyable social occasion was had by all. Special thanks to Galbally Rugby Club/Community Council for the use of their facilities much appreciated.
