Our Junior Hurlers clashed with the Kickhams in round three of the West Championship in Sean Treacy Park on Sunday evening last and having led by nine points at the break were very lucky to have came away with a share of the spoils.

In complete control in the first half which yielded 1-9 to the Kickhams 0-3, Sologhead were on target through Phillip Doherty 0-7, Christopher Ryan 0-2 and Eoin Riordan 1-0.

Any chance of Sologhead pulling away in the second half were dashed as the Kickhams had cut the deficit to four points with 1-2 inside a three minute spell on the restart and from here on it was a battle all the way to the final whistle which finished on a score line of Sologhead 1-14 to the Kickhams 2-8.

Phillip Doherty 0-3, Davy Ryan and John Joe O’Brien 0-1 each completed the scoring.
