Our U12 Footballers have been very busy over the last number of weeks taking part in the newly revamped U12 League competitions.

With the emphasis firmly on providing games for all U12 players within clubs, we have two teams in action meaning plenty activity for all the players.

With victories already recorded against the Kickhams and Sean Treacys, the training is paying off and have given themselves every opportunity of further success this year.

Next game is against Rosegreen B this Monday, May 2n in Sologhead at 2pm and victory here would certainly ensure a place in the West Semi Final.

Everyone is asked to come along and give their support to the young players.

U12 Footballers (First Team) - Paudie Franklin, Dean Morrissey, Denis O’Shea, Will Collins, Aaron Ryan, Sarah Duggan, D.J.Cremmins, Evan Hanrahan, Ethan Cummins, Jack Redican, Laura O’Mahony, Amy Ryan, Dylan Ryan.

U12 Footballers (Second Team) - Cian Hanly, Erin Kenny, Leah O’Brien, Lucy Ryan, Kelly Usher, Seamus Burns, Tim Hanly, Mikeala Farrell, Chloe Karolis, Jayne Laylor, Kate O’Shea, Rodrigo Serrano, Jordan Cummins.

Our Junior Hurlers got their preparations underway for this year’s Junior B West Championship with a one point victory over the Kickhams in a very competitive challenge game on Friday night last.

With the high level of commitment shown during the game, it certainly augurs well for the year ahead and selectors Willie Hartnett and Tommy Ryan.

Their opening championship game is against Arravale Rvs and is fixed for Sunday, May 15 in Dundrum at 1.30pm

Sologhead GAA Club wish to thank everyone who supported our recent church gate collection and our Juvenile clubs fund raising table quiz in the Hideout.
