A Clean-Up has been organised for Saturday, April 13. Meet at 4pm at the school gate and bring a hi-vis vest and a pair of gloves. Rubbish bags will be provided and will be picked up after the collecting session.

Last week’s notes suggested that people familiarise themselves with the present South Tipperary County Development Plan and use it as a basis for ensuring that items of great importance to us are retained in the upcoming new Development Plan.

The present plan is available both in the County Council offices in Clonmel and also online at

Community condolences are offered to the family of Mrs. Margaret (Peg) Cleary of Glengarra, Burncourt who passed away on Sunday, April 7.

Sincere condolences are also offered to the family of Mrs. Mary Kearney of the Black Road, Skeheenarinky who passed away on Wednesday, April 3.

The entire community is asked to recycle and support your local national school. A clothes and mobile phone collection will take place at the school from April 15 to 20. Clean clothes please! Phones in separate bag. Shoes, household textiles, handbags, ties, stuffed toys etc. will all be accepted.

All items accepted at the school office during school hours and on Saturday from 2pm to 4pm.

A Skeheenarinky National School fund-raising walk from Kingsyard to Galtymore will take place on Saturday, June 8. Barbecue by ECO Bus. Start at 2pm. E7 per person but no charge for children!

A family walk will take place on same day for those who don’t wish to climb Galtymore.

We hope as many as possible will walk or volunteer as stewards etc. on the day.
