Newcastle GAA are organising events in conjunction with the Newcastle Homecoming festival on Sunday, June 23. Activities begin at 1.30pm with a juvenile blitz followed by a junior challenge game and a reappearance of some well known faces from yesteryear. Further info on the club website

Committee meeting at the club rooms on Wednesday, June 5, at 8.30pm. Newcastle GAA club would like to wish all players and those associated with the club all the best in their upcoming exams. Well done to Hailey O’Connor, Liam Lynch Terrace, who played corner back on the Central Technical Institute Clonmel ladies football team that recently won a Munster Schools Junior Football title.


U14 hurlers travelled to Ballyporeen on Friday to play a challenge match. On Saturday, June 1, the u10 and u11 hurlers took part in a blitz in St Mary’s, Clonmel. The team won two of their matches and were narrowly beaten in the third. Players: Jack Rice Fitzpatrick, Alice Ryan, Ciarán O’Loughlin, Tommy Kiely, Tiernan Cremmins, Tom Ross, Cormac Butler, Tighe Guinan, Cian Slevin, Joshua McLean and James Dennehy.
