Anyone interested in attending the Eucharistic Congress in Croke Park should give in their names to the sacristy before March 17. For Croke Park a limited number of tickets is allotted to each parish. Those interested in travelling to the Diocesan Day should also take the booking form from the porches in the churches and return them before March 17.

A Eucharistic Congress is once in a lifetime event in this country so it will be a memorable event.

Our Minor received a walkover from JK Brackens in the Minor League on Sunday last.

In the premier division county football league we took on Ardfinnan. It was a good team performance, Paudie Foley score the first goal, rattling the net. Then towards the end of the first half Jack Lonergan set up Sean Keating for Rovers second goal. With points from Paudie Foley, Jack Lonergan, Diarmuid Foley, John Shanahan, Niall

Fitzgerald and Ronan Desmond. Final score was Moyle Rovers 2-9 Ardfinnan 0-5.

The Draw took place on Sunday, Februray 19, the Jackpot was not won, the winners on the night were, Orla O Brien €E50, Fionn Scully, John O’Sullivan and Eimear Gahan €20


Commiserations to The U15 Girls Indoor soccer who were defeated by Newport on a scoreline of 2-1 in one of the most entertaining games of indoor soccer. Well done to the girls and their mentors.


Congratulations to Tipperary U14 team defeating Limerick in the first round on a scoreline of Tipp 3-5 Limerick 2-1. Well done to the Moyle Rovers Girls on the panel, Claire Moore, Cliona Collins, Shania Dowling, Michelle McMeel, Bronagh McGrath, Dearbhla Fitzgerald, Everena Everard.

Also best of luck to Loreto Secondary school and the Moyle Rovers girls involved who are playing the All Ireland School Semi Final on Wednesday.


A big thank you to all parents and camogie supporters who helped with our bag pack in Dunnes last weekend. Thanks also to Dunnes stores for facilitating us.

The first U12 blitz of 2012 gets underway this Saturday in Monroe. All teams to be in Monroe at 10am. Helpers and volunteers welcome on the day. Training resumed on Friday nights at 6pm. All are welcome and especially new members.

Registration is now also due for 2012 cost is €E20 per child.

Best of luck to Nancy Ferris who transferred to play camogie in Dublin. Nancy played Senior Camogie with Moyle Rovers for a number of years and was a great hearted player who always gave 100%.

We have entered the Under 16 competition as a combination team with St Mary’s. We expect competitions to be run off earlier this year so early training is essential. Best of luck to all camogie teams for the year ahead.
