A big thank you to everyone who called in to meet with us at our information evening on Friday. It was a very successful evening with people having some great ideas and offers of support. It was also lovely to see the children coming down too to help out on the evening.


Clerihan won five gold medals at county level in 2012. We would like to thank parents, coaches, trainers also, a lot of time goes in to these achievements.

Community games swimming took place in Clonmel pool on Saturday and Sunday last, 12 and 13 May. Connor McLoughlin won the gold medal in Boys U12 Backstroke event and Lily Clements also won gold in U 12 backstroke, they will now represent Co Tipperary in the National Finals. Amy Higgins received a bronze in U12 Freestyle. Sadhb McGrath also represented Clerihan in U10 Freestyle putting in a great effort. Well done to all you have done your parish proud.

Gymnastic Results. Kayleigh Flannery received gold in U10 she will now represent Co Tipperary in the National Finals for the fourth time. In 2011 she won the All Ireland title. Well done to Rosie Fitzgerald in U12 Rosie received a silver medal for some great floor work. Liam McGrath, Fernville secured another gold in U14 Boys he will also represent Co Tipperary in National Finals. Well done Liam. Another up and coming is Oisín O’Shea he received silver in U8 boys topping his bronze in 2011.

Art Results. Emma Wroblewski received gold in U14 Art she travels to National Finals in Athlone to represent Co Tipperary. Heather Barnett received a silver medal in U12 girls Art making it a great day all round.

The U11 Hurling Boys lost to Cashel and the U10 Mixed football lost to Kilsheelan. U12 Girls football had a great game against Fethard and go on to play the winner of Mullinahone v Ardfinnan.


First Communion. Congratulation to the 22 girls and boys from St. Michael’s National School who received their First Communion on last Saturday, May 12. Congratulations also to the other children from the parish and community who received their First Communion.
