Last summer Trocaire received over €10.4 million in response to the Emergency Appeal. (€5.8 of this came in parish collections.) This fund helped in many ways: To bring food to people in Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia; distribute drought resistant seeds; dig wells, supply water tanks, rain water catchments, bed nets to protect against malaria, water treatment tablets, food and water vouchers, extend hospital care, develop irrigation, water projects, new farming methods. The people of these countries thank Trocaire and Trocaire would like to thank the people of Ireland.
