The death has occurred of Jerry Farrell, Ballyrobin, Cullen, and late of Knockcanedoolis, Garrydoolis, Co. Limerick. Removal took place from his residence to St. Patrick’s Church, Cullen, where Requiem Mass was celebrated followed by burial in the local cemetery. He is survived by his wife Anne, daughters Bernadette and Caroline, brothers, sons-in-law Andy and Padraic, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren Abbie, Rachel, Dominic, Edward, Padraic and Megan, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Sympathy is also extended to the relatives and friends of John Griffith of Coolbaun, Killinick, County Wexford whose funeral took place in Lattin recently.
The Cashel and Emly Lourdes Fund annual draw takes place on March 9. There are 40 prizes on offer and tickets costing €20 may be purchased from local members.
The A Team were defeated by 3 -2 away to Two Mile Borris in last Sunday’s Shield semi-final. The same teams will be in action in a Division 1 game in Aisling Park next Sunday.
Next Saturday St David’s U11 team is at home to Donohill at 12.30pm, U13s will travel to Charleville for 11am kick-off and U15s will play Hospital in the second round of the cup at 11am in Knockane.
Under 16 - We played Arravale Rovers in our first challenge of the season. We were beaten but a good challenge for the girls. Thanks to Arravale Rovers for the match.
Fundraiser for Lattin-Cullen Ladies Football team - Great night was had by all. Thanks to the 17 teams who entered on the night and to all businesses who sponsored tables: Barlow Headstones, Co-op, Danny O’Farrell, John O’Heney Electrical, Willie Crotty Contractors and Paul Kelly (Noel Ryan’s pub). Well done to Emer Quirke and Lara O’Dwyer who are on the County U14 Panel. Tipp played Limerick in a Challenge last Sunday in Lattin. Tipp were beaten but it was a worthwhile challenge.
Trials are still ongoing for County U16 so best of luck to the girls from the club attending.
Bags of clothes can be dropped into the Referee’s Room during any training session. We hope to cover a set of jerseys for boys and U16 girls.
