Some weeks ago, Grange community lost a dear friend and neighbour, Rita Looby. Rita was a stalwart member of Grange Community Council and formerly Grange Hall Committee. She served as treasurer for many years and was a trustworthy and loyal contributor to the many activities for which she volunteered. She even prepared sandwiches for the weekly card games that her husband Bill attended in the Hall. Rita was truly community spirited and was very knowledgeable about local history, making valuable contributions to the publication of the Grange Journal a few years ago. She was a member of the Grange ICA since its inception and was a great representative at meetings. She was also an accomplished baker and made a beautiful iced cake for the raffle at the annual field days and evenings, a prize that always helped increase ticket sales! Grange Community council, her friends and neighbours, wish to express their sincere condolences to her family on the sad passing of a true lady.
